Trombone, testimonies, and more.
I went to Manchester’s other Costco on the 4th after realising that it existed, since it was marked with the suburb it was in rather than as being in Manchester on the map (while the first Costco I went to was also in a suburb, it was marked as Costco Manchester). There, I finally had the chance to try out a British £1.50 hotdog and pop/soda. Even though I thought the beef sausage’s meat quality was higher than those I ate in Canada, it lacked the spices found in the Polish sausages I usually had back there. The bun felt more soggy as well, so I’m sorry to say that it doesn’t live up to the hype (or maybe I’ve been spoiled by Canadian Costcos). To make matters worse, all the soft drink options were zero sugar. Boo.
One interesting detail I noticed as I left Costco was that according to a notice on display, only people working in several professions (such as civil servants or lawyers) can become Costco members (at least on paper). This stands in stark contrast to the Canadian model, where anyone with valid ID can freely embrace the glory of Costoc membership.
